The Gordie Howe International Bridge project is a once-in-a-generation undertaking. With a focus on honouring the region’s rich history and culture, championing a greener future and providing improvements to the Windsor-Detroit corridor, the new bridge will open new doors to trade, travel and tourism and forever change the landscape of the area.

This project wouldn’t be possible without the workers who don their hard hats every day and build every feature of the four project components including the bridge deck over the Detroit River, the buildings and structures at the Canadian and US Ports of Entry and the road work for the Michigan Interchange.

On March 27, 2024, the project reached 2000 days of construction. In celebration of this exciting achievement, the team at the Gordie Howe International Bridge project has launched a sticker contest for the communities of Windsor and Detroit.

For the “2000 Days of Construction” Hard Hat Sticker Contest, community members are asked to develop an image that celebrates all things construction and honours the people working across all four of the project components’ sites. The contest runs from April 3 – 26, 2024. Learn more at: https://www.gordiehoweinternationalbridge.com/en/2000-days-of-construction

The designed stickers will serve an important purpose and will be used to help tell the story of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project through a community lens and show appreciation for the hardworking crews involved in construction. Each participant will receive copies of the winning stickers and the winning submissions will receive $25 gift cards.
