The Windsor Endowment for the Arts application portal is now open for 2024 submissions!

“Launched in 2010, The WEA Arts Leadership Awards and Arts Grants is a biennial program to recognize and support creatives and creative projects from a diverse range of homegrown talent in the City of Windsor and County of Essex.

We welcome grant applications and award nominations via our online application platform now until midnight of Sunday, March 31, 2024 for one of our 11 art grants totalling $31,000; or for one of our 4 Arts Leadership Awards of merit.”

And this year The WEAs Awards & Grants Celebration will be held at Mackenzie Hall Cultural Centre!

ARTS LEADERSHIP AWARDS – 4 awards of merit are presented to recognize and celebrate
outstanding individuals, philanthropists, businesses and/or organizations devoted to the arts in
the following areas: Community, Literary, Performing, and Visual Arts.
*Nominees must be nominated by a peer.
EMERGING ARTIST GRANTS – $3,000 each – Four grants are presented to support the
professional and creative development of emerging artists (2-7 years of experience) in the
following areas: Film Arts, Literary Arts, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts.
ARTS INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS – $3,000 each – Four grants are presented to individual
professional artists/arts professionals, ad hoc groups, collectives,  organizations and businesses
dedicated to developing creative projects in the arts in the following areas: Community Arts,
Performing Arts (Music), Performing Arts (Theatre), and Visual Arts.
ELIZABETH HAVELOCK GRANT IN THE ARTS – $3,000 – One grant is presented to
foster and support the artistic excellence of the mid-career artist (7-15 years of experience) in
any artistic discipline.MORRIS AND BEVERLY BAKER FOUNDATION YOUTH GRANT IN THE ARTS –
$2,000 – One grant is presented to a graduating high school student registered in a visual arts
program at the post-secondary level.
ERIC JACKMAN YOUTH GRANT IN THE ARTS – $2,000 – One grant is presented to a
graduating high school student registered in a performing arts program at the post-secondary
level.
