The Windsor Choral Festival (WCF) is an annual event that gathers choral singers from across
the Windsor-Essex region to share a love of singing together. The Festival provides choral
clinics for ongoing vocal training and education free of charge, encouraging community through
collaborative singing. With an explicit mandate to promote Canadian choral music, the Festival
features a Canadian work as the massed choir finale piece during the Festival showcase.

WCF 2024 will occur from April 10-13, 2024, with choral clinician Dr. Elaine Choi. Elaine
immerses herself in Toronto’s vibrant choral community as a conductor, educator, adjudicator,
and collaborative pianist. In addition to her role as Director of Music at Timothy Eaton Memorial
Church, she is also the Interim conductor of Pax Christi Chorale and was previously the
conductor of the University of Toronto Soprano/Alto Chorus.

This year, choirs who register for the WCF will receive a free 30-minute choir clinic with
Elaine between April 10-13, 2023. Choirs should prepare two pieces for the clinic and attend
this session with their director and accompanist (if applicable). Choirs may also have the opportunity to sing their two
pieces, as well as the massed choir piece, in the grand finale concert on April 13th. Scores will
be available in early January for participating choirs. Email windsorchoralfestival@gmail.com if you lead or conduct a choir interested in participating.Watch a video from the WCF 2023 massed choral performance of Sarah Quartel’s “Carry the Music” here.
