Job Details
Provide assistance to patrons of the Art Gallery of Peterborough (AGP) by greeting and directing them through the facilities and by answering inquiries. Process registrations and shop sales as well as assist staff with various facility programs, exhibits and communications.

Qualifications
Knowledge and experience normally associated with an individual who has a 2-year college diploma in related field with one-year experience including organizing and assisting with special events, media relations, and retail experience including cash handling and reconciliation experience. Familiarity with art and craft is required and art gallery experience would be considered an asset. Effective customer relation skills are essential along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate level computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications, and experience with CLASS database would be an asset. Must have well-developed organizational, administrative, and reception skills. Must have Emergency First Aid (or must obtain within 3 months). Basic conversational language skills in French would be an asset. This position works primarily weekend and evening hours and occasional holidays.

Hourly Rate
$22.68
