Art Starts and The STEPS Initiative invite professional Ontario-based artists or collectives to submit Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for a community-engaged Public Art Project. A key component of this project is community engagement and/ or mentorship for emerging artist(s). We encourage interested artists to consider not only the history of the area in their proposal but how the community and/ or emerging artist(s) can be engaged throughout the design process.

This unique Public Art Project aims to contribute to the revitalization of the Villaways/Leslie Nymark community through meaning, beautification and community engagement and will be completed by Summer 2021 (dates TBC).

Budget: $152,428 CAD (inclusive)
