Tracks of my Years is an ongoing project that compiles memories/stories told by the elderly in our community using music as the stimulus. We will include a photo, brief biography, and story for each participant. Thirty elderly community members (70+) living in our community will be selected. If interested, we will meet with the participant of 70+ years of age and play for them popular music from the time they were 15-30 yrs old.
The participant will not be given advance notice of the music, but rather they will simply share what comes to mind while listening to the music. Their stories will be recorded and shared with our audience via a podcast and book. We are placing no standards or expectations of the stories that will be shared with us. All are welcome.
Due to COVID-19, appropriate measures will be taken to ensure the safety of the participants – Meetings will be held online, or in an outdoor socially distanced manner.
