The Town of St. Marys Public Art Project aims to spark community participation in the building of our public spaces, offer the public access to ideas generated by contemporary art, encourage citizens to take pride in public cultural expression and create a forum to address relevant themes and issues.
The addition of a public artwork at this location, is expected to enhance the experience and enjoyment of the public plaza and simultaneously provide an inspirational and beautiful marker for pedestrians and passing commuter traffic on Queen and Church Streets.
The St. Marys Public Art Project will support proposals from both emerging and established artists working in a range of disciplines and media. The complete Call to artists can be found at: https://stmarys.bidsandtenders.ca
