The Cripsters is a monthly Akimblog feature on disability and culture from the point of view of people with disabilities.
We are looking for submissions of 750-1000 words on topics that intersect with art and disability through a social justice lens and that crip/disrupt the way we think about disability.
Submissions can take the form of a critical review, an interview, or an article on artistic/curatorial processes, theory and ideas, commentary, community, etc.
For examples of previous articles, find the archive here.
A writer’s fee is paid. There is no deadline. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please email proposals in the form of a short synopsis or outline to Kim Fullerton at kimful@akimbo.ca.
