URGENT CALL TO ACTION

Dear Members, Industry, and Community,

Thank you to everyone who has engaged with our #ForTheLoveOfLIVE / #PourLAmourDeLaScene campaign. It is now critical that we keep the pressure on more than ever.

We need your voice.

In addition to our own efforts, the CLMA is a partner of the Coalition of HardestHit Businesses, and we strongly believe our united voice can make a difference in our industry and others. A recent press release issued by the coalition reported that 60% of Canada’s hardest-hit businesses will not survive if the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) as well as the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS) are not extended beyond the June 5th deadline to the end of the year.

As the Federal Budget approaches on April 19, the time is now for a collective final push, engaging Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland and ensuring she hears from you directly; a few clicks can make a difference to future funding for the live music industry.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP

1. SEND A LETTER: Please make your voice heard by sending a letter to government using a pre-populated letter linked below. Canada’s live music and hardest-hit businesses depend on it.

Use our new and easy letter tool to share key messages HERE. See our full list of recommendations in the Live Music Recovery Plan.

For maximum impact, please take action before Friday, April 2nd.

2. TAG MP’s: Continue to amplify on social media and tag the following ministers by using our hashtag #ForTheLoveOfLIVE / #PourLAmourDeLaScene:
