SAW Video’s Knot Project Space accepts proposals once a year through an online submissions process, the results of which contribute to our yearly programming schedule. We seek proposals for exhibitions, screenings, performances, projections, lectures and workshops from artists, curators and collectives who are engaged with media art in installation and/or performative contexts. Applicants may submit pre-existing works, propose new projects, or new iterations of a project. Selected artists will be paid in accordance with CARFAC fees for the exhibition of their work. Submissions will be assessed by SAW Video’s Programming Committee and only selected artists will be contacted.
Opened in January 2018, Knot Project Space is a purpose-built venue that is uniquely configured to accommodate a wide range of mediatic presentation forms. We encourage applicants to be experimental and adventurous in their approaches, and to propose projects that would make use of the potential of our space. Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to artists who identify as BIPOC, QPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+.
