The City of Windsor has opened the second round for the eighth year of the Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund (ACHF) grant program. This funding stream awards project grants to deserving individuals and cultural organizations to help stimulate creative and economic growth in Windsor. This year, $87,200 will be awarded, with $43,600 available in each of two funding rounds. Since 2014, the ACHF program has awarded $626,800 in grant funding to 310 arts, culture and heritage projects in Windsor.
These projects assist in building a stronger creative community that contributes to a prosperous creative economy and to making Windsor an attractive and affordable place to live. Completion of funded projects often results in products, programs and initiatives being available for public engagement. From films to photography collections, novels to performances, exhibitions to virtual programs, the ACHF makes a difference in the community by supporting local, innovative and creative works.
ACHF 2021 Round 2: Applications accepted from Friday, July 2, 2021 to Friday, July 30, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.
“Windsor has a proud history of investment in our arts, culture and heritage community,” says Mayor Drew Dilkens. “As we continue to navigate the impacts of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the ACHF remains a strong tool to help support local artists while keeping us connected in safe ways. The projects funded through this program result in positive stories and experiences for our entire community, growing and developing audiences while fostering a greater appreciation for arts, culture and heritage in Windsor.”In order to be considered, applicants must consult with Culture department staff prior to submitting a project for funding, before the application deadline.
