How long have you been a part of ACWR?

Almost six years

What made you want to get involved with ACWR?

I live in the neighbourhood and wanted to help with ACWR with arts administration and events.

Are you an artist? Can you tell us about your work?

Yes, I am a visual artist and work in various media. Some of the recurring themes I use include the passage of time, preservation, and memory.

Do you have a favourite local artist, arts collective/organization, mural, art space, or creative project in the Windsor region?

There are so many talented artists, designers, musicians, writers, & performers. My favourite art spaces include, Sho Art Studios, HNM Dance Centre and Intune Music.

How has the pandemic changed the way you work?

The best part about creating, for me, is collaborating with others and the events. Without that outlet I chose projects with lots of repetition that I could work on while in zoom meetings or as a meditative activity. For example, I finished three Amish knot rugs.

What inspires you?

Other artists, art supplies, yoga, flowers, bowls, beeswax, champagne, and asian food.

What do you want people to know about ACWR?

ACWR is a small non-profit arts organization with the big job of supporting and uplifting all disciplines of art in the region. Consider becoming a member or making a donation to help the local arts.
