Breakout Session

The demo/activity that she will be presenting to the students will include students working in small groups in Design Development teams. They will be creating a target market, brand name and basic sketches for a mini line that they will mount on a presentation board and will present it at the end.

First, the teams will create a customer profile (a target market) that they will design a line for, including season and year. The team will then go through a design development stage using a croquis template and pencils that will be provided, and will each sketch a design specific to the target market chosen by the group to create a collection. At the end is a line development presentation where each team will create one design board that they will present for the mini line.
