Professional Development Workshops for Local Artists

As part of its Creatives at Work initiative, the Arts Council Windsor & Region (ACWR) presents a free Professional Development Workshop Series designed to support artists and creatives at any stage of their career. Running from July through October 2025, the series includes in-person and virtual sessions on essential topics such as Crafting Your Artist Profile, Navigating Grants 101, Accounting for Artists, Grant Therapy, Anatomy of a Contract, and Level-up Your Career. Hosted by experienced professionals and held at Artspeak Gallery or via Zoom, these workshops aim to equip artists with the knowledge and tools they need to grow their practice and confidently navigate the professional side of the arts.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) Seed Grant funds this initiative developed in response to the Arts & Culture survey ACWR collected last November, in which local artists and creatives highlighted the lack of spaces and opportunities for creative collaboration.

All programs are Free. Only the virtual workshops will require registration.
