It’s time! Peripheral Review is looking for completed first drafts and pitches for our upcoming Winter submission deadline.

Winter Deadline: Monday December 13, 2021 by midnight PST.

All submission inquiries should be sent to: peripheralreview@gmail.com

We accept: Critical reviews of Canadian art exhibitions (or exhibitions which include a majority of Canadian artists, or take place in Canadian art spaces), performances (art, music, dance, theatre) and events, essays on issues in contemporary art and experimental/indefinable pieces.

Include your preferred social media handles, links to websites, short bio (150 words max), and if you have previously submitted the article anywhere else.

We offer successful submissions a fee for published pieces on our website and in print. We encourage submissions by writers and about artists who are considered emerging, under-represented, Indigenous, LGBTQ2S+, from diverse cultural backgrounds or working in alternative practices and abilities, as well as prioritize content on emerging and underrepresented artists and spaces. To familiarize yourself with the content we publish, take a look at our website: https://peripheralreview.com (link in bio)

If you are an emerging writer and would like additional feedback on your pitch or submission, we will be offering a few sliding scale, by-donation workshops over Zoom on how to strengthen your pitch. The workshops will be announced later this week, so stay tuned on how to sign up and get feedback on your pitch before submitting! 😊
