Annual Call For Submissions Deadline: September 15

PAVED Arts is a dynamic media production and presentation centre that supports experimental work in Photography, Audio, Video, Electronic and Digital Arts. PAVED Arts strives to reflect the cultural diversity of our national community in our programming, with particular attention paid to underrepresented or marginalized voices. To this end, PAVED Arts actively encourages members of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities to apply to the annual September 15th open call.

We welcome proposals by contemporary artists, collectives, and curators for media art exhibitions, new media performances, and Billboard presentations.

Outside of this annual open call, PAVED Arts accepts submissions for screenings, off-site projects and online presentations on an ongoing basis.

Our presentation facilities include a 1200 square foot main gallery space, an adjacent, acoustically- separated media gallery, and a programmable (50′ wide x 14.75′ high) billboard space mounted onto the front facade of our building. We share the billboard space with AKA Artist-Run, and as such, programming times are negotiated between our respective schedules.

In the tradition of artist-run culture, PAVED Arts promotes the idea of the gallery space as a site for experimentation and risk-taking. Artists who engage our centre have benefited from the pliability of our resources as well as the critical dialogue that is encouraged. PAVED Arts is prominently located in the Riversdale district of Saskatoon and draws from the strength and skills of a talented team of cultural workers.
