Pathway to Potential (P2P) is seeking to commission an artist to design, develop and install artwork based on stories collected from its P2P Share Your Story Postcard campaign. P2P has set aside a total of $5,000 to fund a public art project for its P2P Share Your Story Campaign. P2P asks artists to propose an artwork that builds on a collection of P2P stories and would be display in indoor public wall spaces. The artist will work cooperatively with the P2P team under the Social Policy & Planning Department of the City of Windsor in ensuring that the artwork embodies P2P’s values of inclusivity, collaboration and community prosperity. Timeline*Deadline for Submissions: September 15, 2023 at 11:59 PM ET*Selection of Winning Artist: September 29, 2023*Final Design Review and Approval: November 13, 2023*Final Artwork: November 20, 2023*Unveiling Ceremony: November 28, 2023Eligibility*Age 18 or older;*Resides in Windsor-Essex County;*Professional artist: A practitioner of visual and/or interdisciplinary arts, at any stage of their career, whose work is recognized by peer artists to demonstrate serious intent and ability, who has a body of work and has made art creation a focus of their practice.Preferred Qualifications*Previous experience with public art projectsFor further information and to apply, please visit www.pathwaytopotential.ca.
