The Mayor’s Art Awards recognizes and celebrates artists from all areas of the creative sector who live or work in the Town of Lakeshore.

Nominations are now open for The Patron of the Arts Honorary Award – an honorary leadership award, recognizes a volunteer, educator, supporter, or business that lives, volunteers or supports the arts in the Town of Lakeshore.

Applications are now being accepted for:

Student Artist Award – a $500 award to outstanding promise and commitment in the arts, in any artistic discipline to a student, under the age of 21, living and/or attending school in the Town of Lakeshore.

Emerging Artist Award – a $500 award for an emerging artist with 2-7 years of professional experience, in any artistic discipline, living and/or working in the Town of Lakeshore. No age restriction.

Creative Entrepreneur Award – $500 award for a business, organization or individual locatedand/or operating in the Town of Lakeshore for developing arts structure.

Artistic Excellence Award – a $500 artistic merit award for an artist living and/or working in the Town of Lakeshore in any artistic discipline.  No age restriction.

Application, nomination forms and criteria information can be found online at lakeshore.ca; in person at the Atlas Tube Centre and Town Hall front reception.

Please hand deliver or mail completed application and nomination packages to Atlas Tube Centre, 447 Renaud Line, Belle River, ON  N0R 1A0 Attention: Mayor’s Art Awards.

Deadline for submission is Monday, September 30, 2019 at 4pm.

Award ceremony and celebration will take place in the Renaud Room at Atlas Tube Centre, 447 Renaud Line, Belle River on Saturday, November 9 from 7-9pm.
