2019 ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITION AT LATCHAM ART CENTRE

SUBMISSION DROP OFF ON MARCH 4, 2019 BETWEEN 11AM – 8PM

Don’t miss your chance to be included in this anticipated group exhibition! Latcham Art Centre is looking for submissions in all media for our Annual Juried Exhibition. Open to artists living and working in Ontario. A maximum of two recent original artworks (2017-2019) may be submitted by each artist and must be dropped off in person at Latcham Art Centre on Monday, March 4 between 11am and 8pm. This is an opportunity to have your work seen and assessed by our distinguished jury of three art professionals and if selected displayed in our newly built exhibition space! This year’s jurors are Sandy Saad, Curator of Exhibitions and Education, Visual Arts Centre of Clarington, Renée van der Avoird, Assistant Curator of Canadian Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario and Matthew Varey, Artist and Head of Contemporary Art at Etobicoke School of the Arts. There will be $1000 in juror’s awards presented at the opening reception!

The Annual Juried Exhibition will be on view from March 9 – April 27 with an opening reception on Saturday, March 9 from 1 – 3pm.

SAVE THE DATE: JUROR’S TALK WITH SANDY SAAD

Want to learn more about the jury process and look more closely at the selected artworks in the juried exhibition? Join us on Saturday, March 30 at 1pm where Juror Sandy Saad, Curator of Exhibitions from the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington will share her insights and experiences from her role on this year’s jury panel. Exhibiting artists in attendance will be invited to say a few words about their work on display and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and join the conversation. Refreshments will be served and a $5 donation is suggested.
