Hourly rate: $23

Business Description: South Windsor School of Music provides private one-on-one music instrument lessons, instrument care services and rentals, day camps and group activities for families in Windsor-Essex. We have a retail store for music books, instruments and supplies. We serve our clients both online and in-school.

Our school operates within the following times: Mondays-Fridays 2-8:30pm, Saturdays 8:30am-3pm. Job DescriptionThe Front Desk Manager serves as a resource and a support for our school, our teachers, and our clients. Continue building your skills in arts administration, client management, service booking, data management, retail sales, social media scheduling and content creation for TikTok, Instagram, email campaigns and blog posts. Hone the skills you need to work in any creative field. This position reports to the school Director. Job ResponsibilitiesOpen / close the schoolGreet & communicate with clients and teachers. Assure a smooth flow of lessons in the school and online. Maintain the daily operations of the school. Attend to requests from clients and teachers. Register new clients Book drop-in lessons and lesson consultations. Uphold the school’s policiesContent CreationSchedulingRetail SalesMaintain school cleanlinessOrganize digital files. Take messages. Skills & RequirementsAdaptability & flexibility. Ability to communicate well with people from all walks of life and from many cultural backgroundsPartial or completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experienceExperience in front desk administration and/or arts administration and/or marketing is considered an asset. Ease in navigating tablets and smartphones. Knowledge of Tiktok & Instagram, familiarity with Canva. Leadership, friendliness, organization and autonomy.Interest in music and/or art.
