LEAD, MARKETING AND ENGAGEMENT (TEMPORARY)
Reporting to: Executive Director, Art Windsor Essex
Location: Windsor, ON
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: (Starting Early October – Ending December 31, 2023) – Temporary Placement
The Role:
We are looking for a passionate art lover who thrives in a vibrant and creative work environment to prepare and execute the strategic marketing efforts for AWE driven by the overall strategic plan. The successful candidate will work with a variety of stakeholders, including external agencies, to support AWE’s operational plans and branding efforts, under the direct oversight of the Executive Director.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement strategic communications and marketing plans and efforts with specific objectives aligned with the organization’s mission
- Provide oversight, and occasional development, of all external AWE marketing and digital content, including web content, brochures, annual reports, email marketing, advertising, social media, and media distribution.
- Work with staff to develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print and digital assets, and preparing copy for promotional materials
- Build and implement a sponsorship strategy, including media sponsorships and contra advertising agreements around events and exhibitions to achieve revenue goals, while maintaining positive relationships with existing sponsors
- Analyze customer insights and consumer trends, use customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, generate qualified leads, and identify revenue opportunities
- Represent AWE at functions to develop community contacts and relationships
- Oversee audience research with other Managers, tracking attendance metrics and data, evaluating visitor satisfaction and trends, and reporting recommendations for improvement
- Prepare and monitor marketing budgets, and report progress to the Executive Director
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in marketing and communications for comparable industries such as cultural, arts, tourism
- Knowledge of public sector, non-profit organizational operations, and related governmental relationships
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, arts administration, or related field
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
