The Town of Halton Hills invites professional Canadian artists to submit a proposal for original artwork for a temporary public art project of outdoor banners. The selected artist will be responsible for developing seven original artworks on the theme of sustainability. Artists should consider how their proposed artwork will spark discussion and engage the community. Banner artwork should be understandable and discernible to pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

Approximately 20 copies of each design will be fabricated and displayed in various locations across the Town to create a unified and captivating visual presence from January to June 2020. The artist is responsible for submitting high resolution digital files of seven art designs. Fabrication and installation costs are covered by the Town and are not included in the artist fee.

This is the first project to be completed under the Town’s new Public Art Master Plan. Deadline to apply is June 11 at 9:00 AM.
