Description: South Windsor School of Music provides private one-on-one music instrument lessons, instrument care services, day camps and group activities for families in Windsor-Essex. We serve our clients both online and in-school. For more information about the school visit our website.  The Front Desk Manager serves as a resource and support for our school, our teachers, and our clients. Gain a solid foundation in arts administration, client management, service booking, data management, service and retail sales with a special focus on social media marketing through Instagram, TikTok and our Shopify-based website. Learn the skills you need to work in any creative business, even your own! This position reports to the school Director. It’s open for possible renewal after the term of the agreement. Responsibilities: Greet clients and teachers assure a smooth flow of lessons in the school and/or online maintain the daily operations of the school take messages Book lesson consultations and instrument service appointments manage client’s payment plans and bookings served as a line of communication between teachers and clients maintain retail inventory fulfils retail sales order stock office/school supplies Maintain school cleanlinessOrganize and archive digital filesSocial Media Content CreationOther various administrative tasks related to streamlining the school, as needed.  Qualifications: Partial or completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experienceExperience in front desk administration and/or working with children’s navigating technology; specifically connected apps and devices such as Google Drive, Shopify, iPads, etc. Leadership, friendliness, organization and autonomy experience in arts administration not mandatory but considered an asset knowledge of music terminology not mandatory but considered an assetPrevious experience with music lessons not mandatory but considered an asset
