In collaboration with Remo Tortola, founding partner of Oven 360, WindsorEats is bringing the experience of making your own pizza dough with a master instructor directly into homes. Remo is Canada’s only Master Instructor from the Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli, one of the oldest and most prestigious pizza schools in Italy. He’s even made pizza for former Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper.
Beginning in January, participants can get hands-on and focus on ingredients and techniques to create the best foundation for pizza: the dough.
The Be A Pizza Maker class allows participants to join a Master Pizza Maker from OVEN 360 in a live and interactive session online. The class will have one of Canada’s most brilliant pizza makers bring you step-by-step through the process of creating the most perfect pizza dough, all in the comfort of your own home.
“This is a great opportunity to ask a trained and certified pizza master anything you had in mind about pizza making,” explains Adriano Ciotoli, co-owner of WindsorEats. “We have so many customers from Michigan and elsewhere in Ontario that are unable to travel to Windsor due to restrictions but are reaching out looking for experiences. This is an opportunity for them to get a sense and feel of the people and flavours of our region and keeps Windsor Essex’s food, drink and tourism scene relevant while still being safe.”
This interactive experience is an all ages experience and great for families or even workplaces to do together.
Classes begin in January 2021 and include the option of purchasing a pizza kit add-on that includes everything needed for the class including flour and yeast. The class is open to anyone regardless of where they live and the kits can be shipped across Ontario.
