MATTHEW GIFFIN is a visual artist, illustrator, designer, art director, musician and entrepreneur. A dual citizen, Matthew was born in Windsor, Ontario but spent his formative years in Lafayette Park, Detroit. He established himself as a working artist in New York City in the 1980’s with regular exhibits in East Village and SoHo galleries and illustration commissions from Oxford University Press, Los Angeles Times and Atlantic Monthly, among many others. Since them Matthew’s creative journey has grown to include art direction and design for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation freelance projects for corporate and entertainment clients, including Sir Paul McCartney. As an entrepreneur he is the developer of StoryValues, a story, art and music based educational resource used by over one million children and educators in Canada, Australia and China.

Matthew’s current exhibition at Nicole Tamer Gallery is titled, ‘Continuum’ and consists of recent drawings, paintings and digital collages created in his trademark vivid, visionary style.
