Fall for Dance North: 7th Annual Festival
September 17, 2021 @ 8:00 am - October 29, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

To elevate the popularity of dance by presenting a diverse, world-class dance festival of established and emerging talent from Toronto, Canada and around the globe through accessible ticket prices. To support Canada’s professional dance community, create an inclusive atmosphere and inspire and educate new audiences and seasoned dance patrons.

The 2021 festival offers a hybrid mix of in-person performances and original digital content for our Toronto and global audience.

The Livestream Collection captured through the lens of acclaimed filmmakers Vikram Dasgupta, Barbara Willis Sweete and William Yong features live-to-air performances from Toronto and a cinematic Signature Program of dance films shot on location in Bangalore India, Havana Cuba and London UK.

Heirloom is our new in-person performance series in partnership with regional co-presenters presented in the parks and vineyards of Peterborough, Hamilton, and Niagara. These double bills feature internationally renowned percussive dancers Caleb Teicher and Nic Gareiss with a stunning roster of Canadian artists.

Free events include two exciting projects created and co-curated by FFDN Artists-in-Residence Natasha Powell and Kimberley Cooper highlighting the art of Jazz. Peggy Baker returns to the festival with a two week evening installation in Yonge Dundas Square and the FFDN podcast Mambo is back for a second season of behind-the-scenes stories about our festival artists.
