EXPLORE NEW CCA GRANTS w/ Alyssa Scott | Professional Development Workshop

Join us on November 5th @ 2pm  for a virtual information session with Alyssa Scott, Associate Program Officer, to learn about the funding opportunities available to artists and arts organizations. This session will offer an overview of the Council’s granting programs, how to navigate the Council’s new online portal, and what to expect in the application process.

The Canada Council for the Arts is Canada’s public arts funder. The Canada Council contributes to the vibrancy of a creative and diverse arts and literary scene through grants, services, prizes and payments to Canadian artists and arts organizations.

Alyssa Scott

Alyssa Scott is an Associate Program Officer at the Canada Council for the Arts, a visual artist and educator with experience in cultural programming, event management and arts administration based in Montréal, Québec. She is driven by a passion for the intersections of art, community engagement and environmental sustainability. Alyssa has been working at the Council since May 2024, first as a summer student until August, working on a research project about environmental sustainability from an arts funding perspective, and then started as an Associate Program Officer afterwards. Prior to working at the Council, Alyssa worked for various artistic, environmental, cultural and philanthropic organizations. She earned a Fine Art degree (2019) and a B.Ed. in the Artist in Community Education program (2020) from Queen’s University, an MFA in printmaking and media arts from the University of Regina (2022), and a Business Skills for Creative Professionals Certificate from OCAD University (2024).
