Build a Dream is set to hit the road to Toronto to host Dreamer Day 2022 on October 4 and 5, 2022.
This will be the non-profit organization’s largest ever in-person event, spanning two days, with a gala on Tuesday, October 4, and a festival-style event hosted on Wednesday, October 5. Build a Dream will be welcoming 3,000+ attendees to Toronto, as well as various keynote speakers and panel discussions from different industries, live entertainment, interactive exhibitor booths, and much more. A flag-raising ceremony will kick off the event on October 5. The Dreamer Day flag will fly proudly at the event to ensure that young women and girls dream big every day.
“We are excited to host Dreamer Day 2022 and showcase many Windsor elements to our participants and attendees on October 4 and 5,” stated Nour Hachem-Fawaz, President and Founder, Build a Dream. “From Windsor, we will have students attending from the local school boards, an amazing performance by Christie Nelson, Program Manager of Family Fuse, and Women’s Enterprise Skills Training (WEST) will receive an award from our organization during our gala on October 4.”
The event will connect young women and their parents/guardians to female mentors, role models, and industry/community partners, as well as provide hands-on learning opportunities and educational resources. Build a Dream’s goal is to encourage these young women to consider career opportunities in male-dominated sectors such as the skilled trades, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), emergency response, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The event will be live streamed through EventMobi for those unable to attend in person.
“We thank all those from Windsor who will be joining us in Toronto to make this event a great experience for all,” stated Hachem-Fawaz.
