Description: South Windsor School of Music provides private one-on-one music instrument lessons, instrument care services, day camps and group activities for families in Windsor-Essex. We serve our clients both online and in-school. For more information about the school visit our website.  The Camp Manager plans, organizes, programs, promotes and delivers South Windsor School of Music’s summer camp Thru The Roof Music Club.  Click here for more information about past Thru The Roof programming.  Create your own version of our annual music, performance and arts-themed summer camp Thru The Roof Music Club using our existing adaptable pivoting model. This camp is for kids aged 7-11. Camp session blocks will be planned and facilitated by multiple Camp Leaders with the Camp Manager’s guidance. The camp will occur either virtually, in-school or as a hybrid combination based on the local health recommendations leading up to and during the camp’s programming dates.  Gain a solid foundation in arts administration, delivering youth programming, client management, data management, with a special focus on social media marketing through Instagram, TikTok and our Shopify-based website. Learn the skills you need to work in any creative business, even your own! This position reports to the school Director. Responsibilities: Manage pre-camp planning & marketingAssure a smooth flow of camp in the school and/or online maintain the daily operations of the campCollect feedback from Camp Leaders and clients manage camp session bookings and attendance manage client paymentsAssure all materials and supplies are prepared for camp sessionsCommunicate with Camp Leaders and clients organize and archive digital filesServe as a line of communication between Camp Leaders, clients and the school train, manage and assist Camp Leaders in the facilitation of 1 hr camp sessions. Camp documentationSocial Media Content CreationOther various administrative tasks related to managing the camp, as needed. Qualifications: Partial or completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experienceExperience in community programming and/or working with childrenExperience with ZoomExperience in Marketing considered an asset Ease navigating technology; specifically connected apps and devices such as Google Drive, Shopify, iPads, etc. Leadership, friendliness, organization and autonomyKnowledge of music terminology Experience in arts administration not mandatory but considered an assets previous experience with music lessons not mandatory but considered an asset
