The WFCU Credit Union Painting Competition + Exhibit is an incredible opportunity for emerging, mid-career and established artists to present their most accomplished works at the LAC for a chance to win cash prizes. The exhibit’s focus is highlight and celebrate the arts in our region and to offer financial support and an audience for artists. $1200 in cash prizes generously sponsored by the WFCU Credit Union.

How to Submit: Complete the Submission Form and deliver with the artwork to the LAC before the submission deadline. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. Submissions MUST include:

1. Artwork (labeled and ready to hang) Submission Form (complete and signed)

2. Submission Fee (cash, cheque, debit, Visa or MasterCard, e-transfer, PayPal)

Hanging & Labeling: All works MUST be ready for display. Artwork that is not ready will not be accepted. Artwork MUST be securely WIRED on back. Alligator teeth style hooks are NOT acceptable. All artwork must be clearly labeled on back with Name, Title, Medium and Sale Price using the included labels.

Submission Fee: A non-refundable administration fee of $10 for LAC members and $12 for non-members will apply for each artwork entered.

Eligibility: This exhibition is open to all emerging, mid-career and established visual artists. Only painting mediums will be accepted with a maximum of 3 entries per artist. This is a non-theme exhibit. All artworks must be originals and not reproductions, prints, copies, derivatives or artworks based in any way on other copyrighted or published artistic works. They must be entirely executed by the applicant.

Jurying: This is a juried exhibition. The Jury will be comprised of experienced and qualified professionals who will determine the winners as well as those works to be displayed in the exhibit. The Jurors will be announced at the Awards Reception.
