Call for Submissions: Queer & Feminist Collaboration

Femme Art Review is planning a print issue around the theme of collaboration, specifically queer and feminist collaboration. This theme is inspired by the prevalence of artistic collaboration in Canada and how artists have addressed critical concerns with a queer and/or feminist lens. We are particularly interested in intergenerational dialogue and discussion. Although this theme has artistic collaborative practices in mind, we are open to a range of collaborations, collectives, and interpreting the theme more broadly.

+Features

+Long-form essays or interviews that explore an artist’s practice through an in-depth analysis. Features can discuss a particular theme related to art or culture, including broader aspects of culture (food, music, life experience, etc.).

An honorarium will be provided upon publication for accepted submissions.

+Reviews

+Short or in-depth reviews that review local, national, or international art exhibitions. We also accept reviews of other media such as books, films, or music. Please note that reviews do not necessarily need to fall under the theme.
