LAKEFIELD LITERARY FESTIVAL
LEGACY SCULPTURE PROJECT

The Lakefield Literary Festival is seeking preliminary proposal submissions from an artist or team of artists for a landmark permanent outdoor artwork to be installed on publicly owned land in downtown Lakefield in Selwyn, Ontario.

The work, to be completed and unveiled by July 2021, will commemorate Canada’s literary heritage connected to Lakefield, in particular, the lives and work of Margaret Laurence, Catharine Parr Traill and Susanna Moodie. This Legacy Project will be a gift to the community marking the 25th anniversary of the Lakefield Literary Festival.
