Integrated Public Art at Mississauga’s Central Library

The City of Mississauga invites professional artist and artist/artist-led teams to submit credentials and expressions of interest to create a permanent public artwork integrated into the atrium of Mississauga’s Central Library, as part of the Library’s renovation initiative.
The artist(s) selected from this call will work directly with the City’s Central Library design and architecture teams to develop their artwork proposal and to fabricate and install this permanent, site-specific artwork. Detailed design will take place in 2020, with a planned unveiling date in January 2023.
Digital, light-based, and/or sound-based sculptural works are preferred.
The total budget for all artist fees, fabrication, installation, and other expenses related to this project is $175,000.00 + HST Canadian Dollars.
