Audition Information
Windsor Light Music Theatre is excited to bring this tongue-tastical production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to the Chrysler Theatre Stage May 2023. Auditions will be held starting December 5th 2022 by appointment only. All Rehearsals will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM, December 2022 – May 2023. All auditions and rehearsals will take place at the Windsor Light Music Theatre Rehearsal Hall, located at 2491 Jos St. Louis Ave., Windsor, Ontario.
Important Dates:

Tuesday, November 29 at 7:00 PM – Dance Workshop & Info Night -> Learn the audition choreography and meet the production team to hear their vision for the show, and ask any questions.*

Monday, December 5: Vocal Auditions (by appointment only, time slots between 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM)

Thursday, December, 8: Dance Auditions (by appointment only, to be assigned by the production team following the vocal auditions)

Monday, December 12 from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Final Callbacks
*Attendance at the Dance Workshop & Info Night is optional
At the discretion of the creative team, additional dates may be added to accommodate interest.
PLEASE NOTE: All those interested in auditioning must be 16+ years old at the time of auditions. The role of Charlie, will be cast as a child actor (must be 9+ to audition). Charlie may be double cast, at the discretion of the production team.
Initial auditions will focus on singing. Please prepare the audition cut(s) from the Audition Notice for the character you are auditioning for. If you are auditioning for more than one character, you may be asked to sing each characters’ audition cut. You may be invited to a callback and/or a dance call which may include some line reading and more singing.
