LABOUR ARTS CATALYST

Artists and organizers have long worked hand-in-hand towards labour justice. Mayworks Festival is excited to launch the Labour Arts Catalyst, a new initiative that seeks to nurture these relationships by pairing four artists from the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area to work with four local labour organizations in a collaborative art-making process. This project also includes an open call for four writers to create work inspired and informed by these collaborations.

The four participating labour organizations include: Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, Jane Finch Action Against Poverty, Labour4Palestine, and Toronto & York Region Labour Council.
