CALL FOR ARTWORKS

Redeemer University invites you to submit work for a student-run exhibition, opening January 2021*. This show will focus on faith, religion, and spirituality. RU is looking for works that articulate and give voice to spiritual narratives and /or themes across cultures and traditions. Themes include, but are not limited to: Personal belief systems, religions, or spirituality. Religious/Spiritual Histories Icons or spiritual figures Sacred texts and artefacts Personal faith and devotion.

When: January 27, 2021 – March 26, 2021
Where: Redeemer University Art Gallery 777 Garner Rd E, Ancaster, ON

SUBMISSION FORM
Maximum of 10 proposed artworks completed or in progress (include projected completion date)Artist Bio (100 words)Artist statement (200 words)Visual documentation of work (medium, dimensions, year – max 15 images)Applications are welcome from students and practicing artists from all disciplines and levels of experience. All are encouraged to participate using a variety of different artistic media. (Please see attached gallery plan for dimensions of the space) Artists will be compensated for their participation as well as for any shipping or travel expenses. You will be notified of the curatorial committee selection by the end of November.

*COVID-19 Consideration: The show is planned to be hung physically in the RU Art Gallery, however, if provincial guidelines become more limited, this could be an online-only show.
