TransLink is inviting professional Canadian and international artists to submit their credentials for consideration to the first stage of competition for public artwork as part of the Burrard SkyTrain Station upgrade project.

Burrard Station is situated in the center of downtown Vancouver’s commercial business district and serves as the main transit hub for the west side of downtown Vancouver, and downtown neighborhoods. It is the fourth busiest SkyTrain station. However, of all stations on the TransLink SkyTrain network, Burrard Station experiences the highest alightings during the AM peak period and the highest boardings during the PM peak period. Public art will be delivered as part of the upgrade project and involves the creation of a suspended, three-dimensional artwork of significant scale and impact for installation at Burrard Station. The artwork budget is $385,000.00 (all inclusive).
