ACTORS NEEDED FOR A PAID GIG WITH POST PRODUCTIONS!

Winner of the 2021 Windsor-Essex Playwriting Contest, Stuck by Jonathan Tessier is a thriller about four young friends who find themselves trapped by the cascading consequences of their own choices after one of them steals a briefcase full of cocaine.

ROLES AVAILABLE
Joey (male, 21-29, open ethnicity) a confidence and vain young man with a hair-trigger temper
Zack (male, 21-29, open ethnicity) an intelligent and principled young man who prefers to avoid conflict
Selena (female, 21-29, open ethnicity) an assertive and competitive young woman with a penchant for risk-taking
Kaitlyn (female, 21-29, open ethnicity) a naive and immature young woman who’s smarter than she appears
Markus (male, 30-40, open ethnicity) a cocky and vulgar drug dealer
NOTE: All roles are open regarding ethnicity/race and (dis)ability; we welcome trans, non-binary, and gender-fluid actors.
THE AUDITION PROCESS
Actors must be registered to audition and all actors audition together. Shortly after you register sides will be emailed to you so you can start preparing to put your best foot forward at the auditions. During auditions you may be asked to read the same scene multiple times with different scene partners. Don’t worry – you aren’t expected to have the sides memorized!
HOW TO REGISTER TO AUDITION
You must register in advance to audition! To register, email us at postproductionswindsor@gmail.com with: a) a theatre resume in doc or docx format; b) a headshot (it need not be professional); and c) which characters you’d like to audition for;
Once your e-mail is received, we will answer to confirm your registration and send you both a copy of the script and all the sides (which will be used in the audition).
*** Cast members will equally split a minimum of 10% of gross ticket revenue.
SCHEDULE
Please note all read-throughs, rehearsals, and performances will take place in person at The Shadowbox Theatre (103b – 1501 Howard ave. Windsor, Ontario) Attendance is mandatory.
Read-through: 26 June 2022 at 7:00 PM.
Regular Rehearsals: Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 7:00 PM, from 26 June 2022 to 22 September 2022, 7:00 to 10:00 PM. A more detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided once the cast is chosen.
Tech week: 25 September 2022 to 29 September 2022.
Performance dates: 30 September; 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 October 2022 at 8:00 PM
