Show Synopsis and Our Production

Korda ends its season with a holiday panto, in the wacky send-up Peter Pan(to) by Tracey B. Atin and Robert Godden. Journey to a far-off land and meet mermaids, pirates and fairies in this hilarious pantomime parody of the J.M. Barrie classic. There are silly songs, sly jokes and bad drag, heroes to cheer and villains to jeer, and entertainment for all ages in the eighth of the original pantos created by the Korda team.

Available Roles

Peter Pan(to) – adolescent – young adult.
A feisty, adventurous young boy from Never Ever (Hardly Ever) Land who yearns for a “smother” and never wants to grow old.Actors auditioning will be asked to imitate Peter’s Rooster Crow.

Wendy Darling – female – adolescent, young adult.
Child of an upper middle class English family, Wendy longs only for complacencies of domestic life; cooking, cleaning, and wiping snot off dirty faces.

Captain Hook – male – adult.
A vengeful, petty pirate who sails the seas of Never Ever (Hardly Ever) Land. Hook’s hatred is focused entirely on Peter Pan(to), and his one fear is the dastardly crocodile who bit off his hand!
This actor will also play the role of Mr. Darling, the posh and oafish father of Wendy, John, and Michael.

John and Michael Darling – child / adolescent.
Wendy’s naive and honest younger brothers, they discover what it truly means to grow up on their trip to Never Ever (Hardly Ever) Land.

Tiger Lily – female – adolescent – young adult.
An Indigenous woman and the narrator of our story, Tiger Lily brings to light the caricatured portrayal of Indigenous Peoples in Peter Pan, and provides humourous and poignant commentary throughout the story.
*Actors of Indigenous heritage are strongly encouraged to audition for this role*

Mrs. Darling – female – adult.
The doting mother of the 3 Darling children, Mrs. Darling wants nothing more than to protect her children from the real world.
This actor will also play one of the Pirates featured in the crew of Captain Hook.

Tanker Bell – male – adult.
The (not-so-small) fairy companion of Peter Pan(to), ‘Tank’ speaks in a special ‘fairy language’, uses special ‘pixie dust’, and gets up to no good in Never Ever (Hardly Ever) Land.

Shmee – adult.
The first mate of Captain Hook, Shmee is a bumbling and dim-witted pirate who is often just along for the ride.

Nanna / Crocodile – any gender / age.
The two iconic animals of Peter Pan(to): the Darling family dog, Nanna, and the fearsome, hand-eating crocodile.

3 Pirates – any gender / age.
Rambling and raucous privateers who scourge the seas of Never Ever (Hardly Ever) Land under the command of Captain Hook.

4 Lost Boys – child / adolescent.
Peter Pan(to)’s (boy)band of misfits, afraid to grow up, like their leader.
