The Canada Council invites people in the Performing Arts for Young Audiences community to apply to be part of a council led delegation to the ASSITEJ World Congress in Tokyo, Japan, where performing arts leaders from around the world will gather for this triannual event. The objective of the delegation is to support artists and arts professionals to:
  • access opportunities and develop international markets
  • develop the capacity to engage in international activities
  • foster reciprocal partnerships and exchanges.
The ASSITEJ World Congress is the most important gathering globally of artists and arts professionals working in the performing arts for young audiences.

Deadline: February 13, 2020

Grant amount: up to $5,000. Grants cover airfare, accommodation, conference fees and per diem.

Who can apply? 
This opportunity is open to  applicants in the fields of theatre, dance, music and sound, Deaf & Disability arts, Indigenous arts, circus, inter-arts and multidisciplinary arts include:

  • artists
  • arts professionals
  • leaders of artistic organizations, groups and collectives
