Alserkal Arts Foundation is pleased to announce applications are now open for its inaugural Research Grants.

Our Research Grants support radical, innovative, and contemporary research that challenges traditional modes of practice in a variety of fields. Our grants place an emphasis on interdisciplinary proposals, comparative studies, and societal discourses that link the arts, humanities, and social sciences in the context of Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

Key information: 

• Application period: 1 October 2019 to 31 January 2020
• Geographical focus: the MEASA region
• Grant amount: US$5000 for individuals and US$10,000 for duos, collectives, and independent publishers
• Eligibility: be over 21 years of age; have minimum 5 years of experience; and demonstrate an imaginative and evolving practice which creates space for accessible discourse and pedagogy.
