Generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Leamington and the Kiwanis Club, the Leamington Arts Centre (LAC) presents the 2019 21st annual Juried Student Art Show.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Complete the Submission Form (http://leamingtonartscentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/v2-2019-Juried-Student-Art-Show-Entry-Form.pdf) and deliver with the artwork to the LAC before the submission deadline. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. Submissions MUST include:
1. Artwork (clearly labeled and WIRED, ready to hang)
2. Submission Form (completed)
ELIGIBILITY: This exhibition is open to ALL Essex County Secondary Students in the categories (mediums) of: Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, Watercolour, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed Medium, Digital Illustration and Film. A Maximum of 1 Entry per Category (medium) per Student will be accepted.
JURYING: Artwork will be judged for each category (medium) based on: Aesthetics, Visual Impact, Creativity/Originality, Skill/Technique. ALL artwork submitted will be displayed in the exhibition.
AWARDS – $2,120 CASH!
Awards will be presented at the Opening Reception evening on Thursday April 11th at 7pm.

2D Categories:
1st Place – $50
2nd Place – $40
3rd Place – $30
HM – $20
Film Category:
1st Place – $350
2nd Place – $250
3rd Place – $150
HM – $50
People’s Choice – $100 (1 award granted at end of show)
Future Artist Award – $100
In honour of Marg Ross and the Late Don Ross, this award is granted to a graduating student who showcases the most potential as an artist or enthusiast and whom has demonstrated extraordinary support and patronage to the arts in the community. For those who choose to submit, students must write a 500-word short composition on their current involvement in the arts and describe their artistic goals for the future. Judging will be based on the composition and artwork submitted.
FEE: There are NO fees to submit. This exhibition is generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Leamington and the Kiwanis Club.
