The Windsor Endowment for the Arts (WEA) and the City of Windsor are pleased to be partnering once again to deliver the 2022 WEA awards and grants celebration, as well as the Windsor Mayor’s Arts Awards (WMAA).

The biennial awards and grants provide an opportunity to support, recognize and celebrate creative individuals and organizations in Windsor and Essex County. This year, WEA and the City will present the awards at an in-person, outdoor event in the Vision Corridor, outside the Art Gallery of Windsor.

The special ceremony will include remarks from WEA President Stephanie Barnhard, Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens, the presentation of the various awards and grants, guest presenters, a live musical performance from singer Florine Ndimubandi, and a special “In Memoriam” presentation with poetry by Christopher Lawrence Menard, and music from 4th Wall Music.

Dari Delite will be on hand to dish out complimentary ice cream cones for all guests.

Pay-What-You-Can ticket pricing. The average ticket price for this ceremony is $25.

All the funds will go to support Windsor Endowment for the Arts (WEA) to help grow the Endowment for future generations of artists in our region.
*Note: If you know of any artists or arts patrons who departed in the past two years in the Windsor-Essex region you would like to be recognized during the IN MEMORIAM presentation, please email Stephanie at info@wea-arts.com with the name of the artist or arts patron, for artists please indicate the type of artist (Ex. visual artist); and the phonetic spelling of their name for correct pronunciation when read aloud at the ceremony.
