“John Chan is a Windsor-based photographer and videographer. He has been photographing dance and the performing arts since the year 2000. As a dancer himself, he was inspired to begin photographing dance while documenting the street dance scene, as he traveled and competed throughout Canada and the United States.
John’s first solo photography exhibition was “still.motion” in 2013, at the ArtSpeak Gallery. Since then he has also exhibited pieces at The Mudpuppy Gallery and The ArtLab. Now, ten years after his original “still.motion” show he brings “stillmotion.2” to the ArtSpeak Gallery, featuring 10 talented dancers highlighted among heritage buildings, local architecture and beautiful neighborhoods of Windsor.”
