ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Catherine Heard
Catherine Heard’s textile work is simultaneously attractive and repulsive, delving into primal anxieties about the body. Frequently, she uses historical craft techniques as foils for abject subject matter.

Shiemara Hogarth
Born in Jamaica, Shiemara Hogarth migrated to Canada in 2005, settling in Brampton, Ontario. With a practice that draws on weaving, screen- and digital- printing, felting, embroidery, and more recently, explorations in 3D printing, her work is heavily focused on narrative.
