The Sandwich Strings Summer Music Program is a free, beginning-level music program where children and youth, ages 5-19, can learn to play the violin. The summer program will take place at Mackenzie Hall, and run from August 9th to the 27th, Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 1 pm. The Sandwich Strings Program is a project of The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Windsor Essex County, in partnership with The Friends of the Court at Mackenzie Hall and funded by The Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The Sandwich Strings Summer Music Program launches into the Sandwich Strings Program, which begins in September, and continues for the remainder of the school year on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 3:30 to 8:30 pm, and Saturdays, from 10 am to 1 pm.
Students can attend group lessons and private lessons depending on how much they progress or their level of experience. The Sandwich Strings program will be delivered in a safe, patient learning environment, aimed at building strength both academically and social skills, boosting confidence, and supporting creative development.
