Patricia St. Louis csj is an acrylic, mixed medium painter from Windsor, ON. Her abstract style integrates paper from vintage magazines, world atlases, and fabric. She approaches a composition in openness to the leadership of brush and paint, a dance between intuition and mystery unfolding. Patricia’s acceptance of all elements of design – not always immediately – is a strong point in her composition. This is Patricia’s third exhibit, two in Windsor and one at Rivers Edge Retreat Centre, Cleveland, OH.

*Thelma is a middle-age, Afro-American woman who works in the jewellery department at JC Penny in Detroit, MI. While I was shopping, she asked me how I was doing. “Not so well,” I replied. Thelma said, “You up. You here. You beautiful.” She inspired the title of this exhibit.
