Sunday, August 11th, 2019. 11:00am

Come out and show your support! The parade route will begin at Ottawa Street and Argyle Road.

From the Windsor – Essex Pride Fest Website:

Show your PRIDE at Windsor-Essex’s most colourful event! Whether you’re a business, organization, group or simply an individual wanting to show your support, all are welcome!
Held since 1992, our annual Windsor-Essex Pride Fest Parade will be held during the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest on Ottawa Street. The parade and festival have traditionally been attended by the LGBTQ2S+ community and their allies from Southwestern Ontario and Michigan. Our festival focuses on bringing all different segments and groups together to celebrate the accomplishments we have made in the Windsor-Essex region and Canada as a whole.

We believe Windsor-Essex a fantastic place to live and would love nothing better than to have everyone come down to watch. Gay, straight, whatever… we don’t believe in labels, BUT we do believe in everyone having a great time together.

We really do offer something for everyone, and this family-friendly event should not be missed. Grab brunch on a patio and watch the excitement stroll by, or better, round up some friends and be a part of this terrific event.

Click HERE to go to their website for more information on the parade and a full list of events this weekend.

The ACWR would also like to reach out to any students, faculty, or alumni of the School of Creative Arts who want to show their support and walk with SoCA in the parade. SoCA will be walking with the University of Windsor and will be meeting for setup at 9:30 on Sunday, August 11th. They will line up for participation on Argyle Road behind the Market Square (just off Ottawa and Walker). If you would like to participate please do your best to arrive by 9:30.
