Silver Bells is excited to present the premiere of an arrangement created by our musical director.
Silver Bells will present a public concert on November 27 at Emmanuel United Church, 1728 Lincoln Road starting at 7:00 PM. The concert will consist of holiday favourites, carols and classics at Emmanuel United Church. Everyone is welcome. Donations are appreciated.
Silver Bells is one of the oldest community handbell choirs in North America. Silver Bells was founded in 1985 by Grace Lewis to serve the public with performances in hospitals, nursing homes churches and
schools. Silver Bells continues that mandate with the November 27 concert. We will also be performing at several retirement homes in the area and Willistead Manor’s open house.
Handbells bring a different personality to both classical and modern music with their distinctive tone. Each bell plays and individual pitch. Silver Bells consists of 10 players using over 61 bells and 37 handchimes to create both a musical and visual experience.
The Silver Bells choir provides an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the music and art of handbell ringing. Silver Bells is currently under the direction of Dale Burkholder.
