Event Website/Tickets

(Windsor, ON). Korda Artistic Productions presents the fantastic funny Tony-award-winning musical about the love of and hate for Shakespeare, SOMETHING ROTTEN.

With book by Karey Kirkpatrick & John O’Farrell and music & Lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick Karey KirkpatrickSomething Rotten is the hilarious story of would-be playwrights, the Bottom Brothers, and their struggle to write a play to rival those of their nemesis Shakespeare. Nick Bottom consults a soothsayer to discover what Shakespeare’s biggest hit will be, in order to write that play before the Bard can. Add to the madness a group of struggling actors, a feminist wife, a lovely Puritan girl and her furious father, and of course the egomaniacal Shakespeare himself and Something Rotten delivers laughter by the bucket-full (but don’t ask what else is in the bucket!).

Something Rotten is directed by Korda’s Resident Director Jeff Marontate, with powerful music direction by Matthew Vriesen and brilliant choreography by Hope Forman. The entire crazy affair is produced by Korda’s founder Tracey B Atin.

Something Rotten runs October 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29 at 8:00 p.m., and October 16 and 23 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets $30 at the door or at somethingrotten.eventbrite.ca. The Thursday, October 27 performance is Pay What You Can.

The KordaZone Theatre is located at 2520 Seminole Street in Windsor.
